CLARICE GEORGE LOGAN

BORN: 1909 in Maysville, NY 

DIED: 

Clarice George Logan was born in Mayville, New York in 1909 but moved to Wisconsin in 1921.

She attended the Milwaukee State Teachers College from 1927 to 1931 where she studied with Robert von Neumann and others including Gustave Moeller; A. Gunther; Howard Thomas.

There is a Memorial Scholarship named in her honor at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, Peck School pf Art and Design. 

Exhibited: Frequent exhibitor in major exhibits - had a joint exhibit with her husband Frederick Logan at the Layton Art Gallery, Milwaukee.Milwaukee PM, 1936 (prize); Wisc. P&S, 1936; AIC, 1938-40.

Member: Wisc. PS; Milwaukee PM; Wisc. Artists Fed.

Work: Milwaukee AI; County Court House, Milwaukee; Indst. Home for Girls, Milwaukee; City Hall, Milwaukee

Graduate of Milwaukee State Teachers College. Winner of several state honors.
